PROFILE- Blossom Chukwujekwu (Nollywood newest quintessential actor)



Blossom Chukwujekwu is a Nigerian award winning actor and upcoming director fondly referred to as Nollywood’s newest quintessential and bankable leading man. He made his professional acting debut in the 2009 movie Private Storm, but blew into stardom in 2013 following the success of another movie titled, “Flower Girl”. Born on November 4, 1983 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria to Dr I.E and Evangelist J.C Chukwujekwu, Blossom is the first of two sons and a native of Otolo, Nnewi North in Anambra State – Nigeria. Blossom began his educational pursuit at Greater Tomorrow Primary School then advanced to the secondary arm of the school called, Greater Tomorrow Comprehensive College. After his secondary education, he opted to study Mass Communications at the Anambra State University of Science and Technology, where he spent a year and later transferred to Benson Idahosa University (B.I.U), Benin City, Edo State to continue his study. While in B.I.U, he was President of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOS) in the 2007/2008 session.


He was also an active member of the popular theatre group – House of Theatre (H.O.T), where he played the lead in the stage drama, “Godless: The Path To Dawn”, written by Avwokuruaye Greygon Efetobor. ....d Mofe Damijo, Yemi Blaq, and O. C. Ukeje. Blossom’s acting credits include, “Flower Girl” (2013), “Finding Mercy” (2013) alongside Rita Dominic, “Knocking On Heaven’s Door” (2014) with Majid Michelle and Ini Edo. “The Visit” (2014) with Nse Ikpe-Etim. “Forgetting” (2014), “Valor” (2014), “Commandment 7″ (2014) starring Stephanie Okereke and Kalu Ikeagwu, “Cobra” (2014) “The Green Eyed” (2014). Blossom has featured in a handful of TV dramas and series, including Tinsel on MNET, where he played Mr. Akinlolu Hart, MTVBASE’s HIV themed “Shuga”, “CATWALQ” by Emem Isong and Monalisa Chinda, Greg Odutayo’s “My Mum And I”, “About To Wed”, “Married” and Nigeria’s first indigenous Telenova – ‘Taste Of Love’, where he plays Kelechi Pepple. In the last two years, blossom has been stared in numerous movies that have gone to become theatre sensations.
