Student Pulse gathered that Odigwu wanted to
end his life after his lover ended their long term
relationship barely a week to their wedding.
According to a Leadership report, his lover ended
their romance during an outing with his friends
at a popular Warri restaurant.
Luckily the six sachets of rat poison he took was
not enough.
The state's Police Public Relations Officer, DSP
Celestina Kalu , said a Police Patrol team on
routine duty discovered him around 10:30pm on
Saturday night at a T-Junction in Warri.
Kalu said he was found almost lifeless, gasping
for breath with a suicide letter near him.


“I was heartbroken and rejected by someone,
whom I loved and had given my heart to over the
years, in the midst of a get-together with my
friends," he allegedly wrote.
"I’d rather die and return to the earth."
His younger sister, Evelyn Odigwe , said her
brother dated the girl for over three years and
had recently proposed to her in the presence of
their entire family.
"My brother might have gone to buy the rat
poisons and drank them because he was really
emotional over the girl’s attitude," she said.
Rumours say his fiancé left him for an old lover
who returned from overseas. overseas.
