3 cultists hack graduate to death, escape on motorcycle in Ondo



A graduate of the Tai Solarin University of
Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ijebu Ode, has
been killed by unidentified gunmen suspected to
be cultists.

killed by unidentified gunmen suspected to be
cultists.
Femi Adebanjo , aka Efrebor, was waylaid by
three gunmen who shot him and hacked him to
death with machetes at Fatina Junction.
According to reports, Adebanjo who was on a
motorcycle had been trailed by his attackers
were also on a motorcycle.
They reportedly riddled his body with bullets
before attacking him with machetes.
A resident of the area said he witnessed the
gruesome killing.
“It was at about 6pm at the Fatina Junction.
The men waylaid a motorcycle, which was
conveying Adebanjo, and rained bullets on him,"
the source said.
"They later dragged him to a corner and began to
cut him with machetes.
“No one could move near them until they were
through and left the scene on their motorcycle.
"It was a very terrible scene.
"Some people later called the police to report the
matter. The officers came to remove the corpse
in their van."
A police source preliminary investigation showed
that the attack was cult-related.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police
Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi ,
said investigations were ongoing to apprehend
the killers.
He said the police had released the body to the
family for burial.
