TITLE : Can't I be a Child?

I smile to the moon
again to the sun
laughter flavours my mood

I play in the sand
free of guilt and hate.
Eat my dish
void of greed.

Foolish is my path
clay in my pant
the joy of my age
beauty of my days

Father, Why does your wrath unleash?
Acting like you never were young
Like you never played in mud

Why must I be decent and mature?
Why must sit and recite psalms?
Why must I dress royal?
When my heart seeks to play.

Father, one question I ask thee
with all of my heart
Can't I be a Child?
